This might not be a problem for a passionate publisher that knows how to pitch and present her publication to the right companies.

Publishers that want to announce a special ad program should also register and post their open space offers on MediaBids.com, a site linking magazine publishers with the advertisers seeking special deals on ad space in print magazine media.

Publishers that plan to sell ad space should at least consult with other publishers to find out the best practices for presenting the publication and media kit. There is an art to selling advertising just as their is an art to the editorial and creative elements of the magazine.
